How to pack a suitcase without creasing your clothes
By sneakersInn team · Updated
To pack without creasing, put shoes and heavy items at the base by the wheels, roll casual clothes like tees and chinos, fold dress shirts and trousers flat along their natural creases, pack a suit jacket inside out with the shoulders tucked into each other, and fill gaps with socks and underwear so nothing shifts. Unpack and hang clothes as soon as you arrive.
Packing order
- Shoes in shoe bags along the wheel end, filled with socks.
- Heavy items: toiletries bag, chargers, jeans.
- Rolled items: tees, knits, chinos, shorts.
- Folded items: dress shirts and trousers, flat on top.
- Suit jacket on top, inside out.
- Gaps filled with socks and underwear.
How do I pack a suit jacket?
Turn it inside out, push one shoulder into the other, fold it in half lengthways, then fold once across. Lay it on top. Hang it in the bathroom with the shower running when you arrive to steam out creases.
