Overshirts: the layer every man should own

An overshirt is a shirt made from heavier fabric, such as cotton twill, canvas, corduroy or wool, worn open over a tee like a light jacket. Every man should own one because it's the easiest layer in Accra: lighter than a jacket, smarter than a hoodie, and right for air-conditioned offices, evenings and travel.

Is an overshirt the same as a shacket?

Which fabrics suit Accra?

How should an overshirt fit?
A little roomier than a regular shirt so it sits over a tee, with shoulders still on your shoulder and sleeves to your wrist. It should end around the middle of your trouser fly or just below.
